Welcome to Cushendall Church

Cushendall, County Antrim

We exist to help build up all the people of Cushendall in their faith through the proclamation of the Word of God that brings personal transformation, community renewal, and the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ into the world.

Life can be very confusing at times, full of questions that don’t seem to have many truthful answers.  The harder we search for these answers the more difficult and confusing it can seem.  All of us only really have two sources for finding answers to life’s most important questions: we can either look deeply within ourselves, or we can look to God.  The Bible is the way that God has revealed himself to us and so it is there that we go to get answers to these difficult questions in life. This is the purpose of Cushendall Presbyterian Church.

Commitments

We love the Bible. We are unashamedly committed to the Bible, believing the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be inerrant and infallible and our only rule for faith and practice.

We are Confessional in that we affirm the great truths of the Protestant Reformation. Our officers affirm the theology of the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms as the best understanding of Holy Scripture.

We are Presbyterian, being governed by elders according to the New Testament example.

We know God through the “ordinary means of grace” consisting of the Word of God, the sacraments, and prayer – these being the principle ways God blesses His people through his church by the power of the Holy Spirit.
